Minutes: October 3rd, 2007

Meeting began: 6:30 p.m. Janet first, Kelly second.

Members Present: Viki Mulick , Gwen Steinbach, & Jamie Whitmore

Officers Present:

• President: Janet Peters
• Vice Pres: Kelly Swanson
• Secretary: Melissa Horne
• Treasurer: Christine Knight

Meeting September 12th, 2007 Minutes:

• Looked over minutes – made minor changes, approved made a motion, and accepted.

Unfinished Business:

• Liability Insurance – Decided to hold off a little longer because of the expense
• Website – www.Vikingboosterclub.com is up and running
• All Volunteer hours need to be logged in and emailed to Nadine or Janet

New Business:

• Rose Garden game – District ok’d waiting for Aloha & Sandy to approve
• Homecoming – Agreed to have a float – Kelly will provide truck/trailer. Megan & Melissa will decorate and will meet at district office about noon on Thursday.
• Parent Teacher Conferences – would like to set up a table of apparel

Treasurers Report:

• About $13362.69

Fundraisers – Current:

• Concessions – Agreed to sell pepperoni from Oly @ Old Trapper. Also selling soup from Phil’s – Maryl will provide. Scheduling needs to be better – Calls aren’t coming in to verify if they will be there to volunteer. Suggest that one person be in charge of just scheduling for winter sales.
• Apparel- Have a wide variety of apparel and now a stock of inventory. Suggest a table in the winter sports. – Still waiting on static clings
• Alumni night at the football game went very well
• Booster Bash – brought in about $3200
• Banner Update - $7300 collected so far
• Program Ads update – Collected $2800 so far
• Ink Cartridges – still receiving
• Escrip –send out another mass mailing or email also at other events
• Goodsearch.com – approx. $10 so far
• Alumni Golf – Decided to CANCEL
• Alumni Basketball Tourney – Pat Walsh/Melissa – December 22nd/23rd – Melissa will call Pro Group, Ralph Brown (Cornelius Boosters), Brian Wilbur-Pacific Insurance, Les Schwab, & Chris Knight will put in on their reader board. Need to advertise at football & basketball games too.

Meetings:

• Agreed to meet first Wednesday of the month. Next Meeting is November 7th, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Office.

Vikings Booster Club Minutes - Aug. 1, 2007

Meeting began: 6:40 p.m. Kelly first, Janet second.

Meeting June 6th, 2007 Minutes:
• Looked over minutes – made minor changes, approved made a motion, and accepted.

Unfinished Business:
• Liability Insurance – Kelly was not available will touch on this subject next meeting
• Melissa talked with Mike Hundley at Farmer’s Insurance – they don’t have this kind of coverage

New Business:
• Rose Garden game – no updates – Doug was not at meeting
• Registration – Registration begins on August 16th, August 20 – 23rd. We will have a booster table set up for sales of apparel and to introduce ourselves - Melissa will make a sign.

Treasurers Report:
• About $7700 in checking

Fundraisers – Current:
• Concessions – Viki is getting a parent rep for each sport and meeting with them during daily doubles. Will set up with Monica to coordinate sports with games.
• Apparel- Ok’d new logo, have new jackets and Melissa is ordering a large inventory for school year
• Booster Bash –September 22nd – 12:00-4:00 – Grad Night Committee has rock wall. Melissa is still looking for other entertainment to come in and perform. Janet is ordering tickets for the bash.
• Ink Cartridges – still receiving
• eScrip –send out another mass mailing or email also at other events
• Goodsearch.com – receive a penny for every search
• Alumni Golf – Sunset Golf Course, Saturday October 13th – Scramble tourney $40 per person
• Alumni Basketball Tourney – Pat Walsh/Melissa – December 22nd/23rd
• Banner Ads – Janet has sold almost $3500 worth of ads
• Looking in to buying or trying to sell buttons
• Flamingo awards – Budgeting $500 per year
• Grad Night would like to sell waterproof blankets, backpacks, coffee mugs, & water bottles to help fund grad night activities – we all approved.
