Viking Booster Club Minutes - Dec. 5, 2007

Meeting began: 6:35 p.m. Melissa first, Kelly second

Members Present: Viki Mulick , Gwen Steinbach, Linda Buxton, Jody Kelsay, Paula Hixson, & Doug Thompson

Officers Present:

• Vice Pres: Kelly Swanson
• Secretary: Melissa Horne
• Treasurer: Christine Knight

Meeting November 7th, 2007 Minutes:

• Looked over minutes – made minor changes, approved made a motion, and accepted.

Unfinished Business:

• All Volunteer hours need to be logged in and emailed to Nadine or Janet

• Rose Garden game – Game is cancelled

New Business:

• Marketing class would like our support – they are trying to create a basketball poster. They would also like us to help buy T-shirts for the “Jam the Gym” on February 8^th. Melissa will talk with Luke Holscher and Brett Baumgartner
• Turf Field – Have received more money and good expectations for field. Kelly will talk with Janet and News Times about insert. Any volunteers are asked to help call businesses around the community Monday December 21^st from 1-5 at the district office. This could only help increase our revenue especially if we were able to hold more events.

Treasurers Report:

• $18265.24 is the balance in the checking account

Fundraisers – Current:

• Concessions – Going well need to re-stock and prepare for alumni tourney.
• Apparel- Have a wide variety of apparel and now a stock of inventory.
• Banner Update – Doug is putting banners up in gym
• Program Ads update – not available
• Ink Cartridges – still receiving
• Escrip –send out another mass mailing or email also at other events
• Goodsearch.com – approx. $24 so far
• Alumni Basketball Tourney – Had a meeting to prepare, have about 8-10 teams confirmed. Doug will prepare brackets and get officials a schedule.

Meetings:

• Agreed to meet first Wednesday of the month. Next Meeting is January 9th, 2008 due to the holidays at 6:30 p.m. in the Office.
