Viking Booster Club Minutes - Feb. 7, 2008

Meeting began: 6:40 p.m. Melissa first, Christine second

Members Present: Gwen Steinbach, Viki Mulick, Linda Buxton, Mary Lou Vandehey, & Doug Thompson

Officers Present:

• Secretary: Melissa Horne
• Treasurer: Christine Knight

Meeting January 3^rd, 2007 Minutes:

• Looked over minutes – approved made a motion, and accepted.

Unfinished Business:

• Receiving $750 from old booster club to file for the (501) c3

Old Business

• Web-site

o Jenny Collins has the website – trying to get it up and running. She will post all minutes, by-laws, & and or agendas.

New Business:

• Submitted Budget for school year 2007-2008 and also OSAA activities

Treasurers Report:

Old Booster Club is holding funds as we are still waiting on status

• $2600 – Advertisements on Programs
• $333 – Donations Summerfield
• -$55 – Fees for Corporation
• -$177.62 – Cost to make Programs

$2700.38 - Revenue Earned

Fundraisers – Current:

• Spring Program

o Voted that we should provide spring programs for spring sports

• Apparel

o Melissa submitted a logo for the sweatshirts and other apparel to club and they accepted.

• Concessions – Viki Mulick is organizing concessions for Softball & Home Tennis Matches, submitted a schedule to see if members could volunteer for home games.

Fundraisers – New:

• Alumni Basketball Tourney – getting names from former teams and ask Jenny Collins
• Bronze, Silver, & Gold Membership for Alumni - An association they can belong to

o Janet will see if she can get and compile a list for a mass mailing or any contacts at all

• Blazer Concessions – Received packet and looking over
• Sister City Tournament - ?
• Swap Meet/Craft Fair

o Chose not to commit to this project at this time.

• Decathlon

o Doug will drop off information packet next meeting. Melissa will look over and help with organizing this event with Doug.

• Kids Parade

o We have to research this to see how this would work – again great for the community

• Tigard Booster Club is holding a seminar on April 7^th- offer to officers and members to see if they would like to join. A total of 7-8 can go, Viki Mulick, Christine, Janet, Melissa, Megan, & Linda Buxton agreed to go. It will be held form 9-4 on Saturday April 7^th.

Meetings:

• Agreed to meet first Wednesday of the month. Next Meeting is March 7th, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library
